Water N Wildlife N Wildflower Day
FOJ partners with FOLKS to aid in projects around the Gorges & at Keowee-Toxaway State Park. Area Boy Scouts, Upstate Master Naturalists, Foothills Trail Conference and Native Plant Society members are loyal helpers. We help maintain a Carolina Fence Garden, & rain garden. Native plants continue to be added, as well as, trail maintenance and area cleanup. Come join us!
Hundreds of volunteers turn out annually to pick up numerous of bags of trash from in and around Devils Fork State Park and Lake Jocassee. We have divers, road, trail & shore cleanup, canoes & kayaks participate. 2nd Saturday in September in conjunction with SC DNR Beach/ River Sweep effort
The road to paradise
Over 4 miles of roadways leading from Hwy.11 to Devils Fork State Park are scoured by FOJ volunteers resulting in hundreds of bags of trash. Come out and help us on our quarterly dates or If interested in adopting a section of the road, contact us at email@example.com
Friends of Jocassee (FOJ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-deductible public charity.
Friends of Jocassee provides a support system for area state parks, SC Department of Natural Resources, and the Foothills Trail.
Funds raised by FOJ provide resources that enhance recreation on or around Lake Jocassee and the Jocassee Gorges.
