
Fishing With Friends Trout Tournament Rules
The cost is $40 per person.
This tournament will pay 100% of the total proceeds to three places as follows.
1st place 50%
2nd place 35%
3rd place 15%.
Everyone aboard must register and pay the entry fee.
Strict adherence to all South Carolina boating and fishing rules and regulations as defined in the South Carolina DNR Rules & Regulations.
Good sportsmanship is expected of everyone.
Any legal method of catching Trout as per the SCDNR Rules & Regulations is acceptable in this tournament.
The entry fee must be paid and an official entry form for the tournament must be completed and submitted no later than 8:30 AM on the day of the tournament in order to be eligible.
Only Trout caught between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the day of the tournament on Lake Jocassee will be eligible.
All contestants reporting to the scales later than 4:00 PM shall have two ounces per minute subtracted from their total weight. Scales will close at 4:10 PM.
All decisions as a result of this tournament are final. All disputes will be handled privately between Friends of Jocassee, and the individuals involved in the dispute.
Friends of Jocassee volunteers shall not be held responsible for the safety or personal property of anyone involved in the tournament.
Only one legal trout (15 inches minimum) may be entered per person.
In the case of a tie, those involved in the tie will split the winnings.
All contestants agree to allow tournament officials to search their boat prior to the start of the tournament.
No fish will be weighed in or will qualify for tournament without a signed copy of these rules.
